Advent at St. Alban’s
The word “Advent” is derived from a Latin word for “coming.” In the Episcopal Church, Advent is a time of preparation and expectation for the coming celebration of our Lord's nativity, and for the final coming of Christ “in power and glory.” At. St. Alban’s, we have many ways to help prepare during this season of hopeful expectation.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1 - 9:00 AM / 11:30 AM - PREPARING THE WAY ADVENT WREATHS - All are welcome to make your own Advent Wreath to help you begin your observance of this Advent season at home at our multigenerational Advent event. Wreaths, candles, decor, and devotionals will be provided. Child/Family friendly Advent Wreaths and Advent Calendars will also be available for families to observe Advent at home.
